Nursing Graduates to Be Honored in Pinning Ceremony
Barton County Community College will honor graduating nurses with a Nurses Pinning Ceremony at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 15, in the college’s Fine Arts Auditorium.
A total of 35 graduating nurses will receive pins during the ceremony. In addition, students completing the practical nursing program will receive pins and certificates. Guest speaker will be Cathy Harshburger, RN, director of nursing at Ellsworth County Medical Center.
Also participating in the event will be Barton’s director of nursing education Linda Gobin, MSN, RN, and Barton President Dr. Carl Heilman. Amanda Gawith, Barton theatre instructor, will present two vocal solos. Instrumental music instructor Steven Lueth, pianist, will provide processional and recessional music.
The ceremony will be followed by a reception in the Student Union.
