Four Barton Employees Earn NISOD Excellence Awards
Four employees of Barton County Community College have been named recipients of NISOD Excellence Awards sponsored by the National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development at the University of Texas, Austin.
Barton’s award recipients include Steven Lueth, instrumental music instructor; Joseph Harrington, mathematics instructor; Mary Hester, director of Information Resources; and Elaine Simmons, dean of Workforce Training and Community Education.
NISOD Excellence Award recipients were honored and presented with certificates and medallions signifying their awards during the annual NISOD Conference May 25 at the University of Texas.
NISOD, the outreach organization of the Community College Leadership Program, is a nonprofit consortium of colleges and universities that share a philosophical commitment to support excellence in teaching, learning and leadership. Established in 1989, the NISOD Excellence Awards are designed to support individual colleges in recognizing and celebrating outstanding work.
