Barton Instrumental Music Groups to Present Spring Concert

Barton County Community College instrumental music groups will present their annual spring concert at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 6, in the college’s Fine Arts Auditorium. Admission
is free.

Groups featured in the concert will be the Barton Jazz Ensemble and the Community Orchestra. The concert will feature music from the Renaissance to current jazz literature, said Barton’s instrumental music instructor Steve Lueth, who directs the music groups.

The orchestra is made up of community members as well as high school and college students. Barton’s Jazz Ensemble has traveled this spring to four high schools promoting the college and the music department.
