Silver Cougar Club Members Can Get Fit for Life in Barton’s Wellness Center

Barton County Community College’s Silver Cougar Club members can get fit with the help of a trained instructor by enrolling in a Fit for Life class at the college’s Thelma Faye Harms Wellness Center.

Instructor Diana Cahoone will help design a personal wellness and fitness plan for each participant’s long-term health goals. The class will meet from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday, April 15 and 17, at the Thelma Faye Harms Wellness Center in the college’s Physical Education Building. Fee for the class is $65 for all participants.

At the first class session, all participants must present a signed authorization from their physician allowing them to participate in this class. Upon completion of the second session, participants will receive a membership card for one year of fitness workouts in the Thelma Faye Harms Wellness Center. For more information about Silver Cougar Club or to enroll in this class, contact the BCCC Foundation Office, 620-786-1136.

The Silver Cougar Club is for individuals 55 or older and their spouses. Members enjoy a variety of social events planned throughout the year, a quarterly newsletter, special recognition during college-sponsored events and special low-cost trips.
