Barton Offers Computer Necessities Workshop

Barton County Community College will offer a basic computer workshop titled “Computer Necessities.” The class will meet from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. on Wednesdays, June 18 through July 16, at the Great Bend Workforce Center, 1025 Main.

Kay Boyd is the instructor. Participants will learn the basic functions of the computer and become familiar with Microsoft Word. They will learn how to access the Internet and use e-mail. They also will gain a basic knowledge of Excel spreadsheets and templates for creating schedules and calendars.

Pre-registration is required. The fee is $18 for Silver Cougar Club members. For all other participants, the fee is $67.
