CNE Encourages Improving Attitudes and Succeeding as Supervisor
Barton County Community College will offer a Continuing Nursing Education seminar titled “Improving Attitudes and Succeeding as a Supervisor.” The class will meet from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday, July 14 and 15, in the college’s Fine Arts Building Seminar Room, F-30. Check-in will be at 8 a.m. July 14. Speaker is John Mulvaney.
This seminar is for registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, licensed mental health technicians, social workers, adult care home administrators and other health care professionals. The college is approved as a provider of Continuing Nursing Education by the Kansas State Board of Nursing.
Prepaid registration fee is $74 if prepaid by July 7. All other registrations after July 7 are $84. This course offers 15 Continuing Nursing Education Hours and 15 Administrator Hours in Administration.
On the first day of the seminar, participants will learn to recognize the early symptoms of an emergency attitude problem, how to address the problem and reinforce positive attitudes and behaviors. On the second day, participants will focus on developing strategies for building good working relationships with staff and supervisors.
