Barton County Community College’s Center for Adult Education will offer classes titled Citizenship: Passing the New Test.
Registration and orientation for the classes are set for 10 a.m. May 27 for the day class, and 6 p.m. May 29 for the evening class at the Center for Adult Education, 1025 Main. All classes will begin June 2 and continue through June 26 (32 hours).
Instruction will include how to fill out the N-400 Form; review of the N-400 questions; writing skills; interview skills; U.S. history, government and geography; and preparation for the new test. The classes are offered free. Textbook fee is $15.
Doris Reile-Kneller, ESL specialist, encourages students to join the many others who have received their citizenship through the classes this year. “Very few past the test without classes,” she said.
