BCCC Foundation Names New Members, Elects Officers
The Barton County Community College Foundation
Board of Directors welcomed two new members as they assumed their
new positions on the board July 1. In addition, the board elected
new officers for the 2006-07 academic year.
Elected for three-year terms, the new board members are Diana Dawson
and Wally Eldridge, both of Great Bend.
Megan Murphy will serve as board chair for 2006-07. Other officers
include Angie Fry, first vice chair; Gregg Fischer, second vice
chair; and Rob Dove, immediate past chair. All board officers reside
in Great Bend.
Remaining Foundation board members include Robin Fabricius, Carol
Hopkins, Sharon Mauler, Mike Nicholson, Nancy Peschka, Robert Rugan,
Shellie Thill and Eric Walter, all of Great Bend; and Chris Ringwald,
Ellinwood.
Dawson is eager to help the Foundation reach its goals and provide
opportunities for students. As manager of Dawson Jewelers-Designs
By Dana Inc., her professional associations include the Retail Jewelers
Association and Great Bend Chamber of Commerce. In addition to serving
as a Great Bend Recreation Commissioner, she also is a current board
member of Roots and Wings, an organization providing help for the
mentally challenged of Barton County. Her past community involvements
include Ourselves and Our Families.
Diana is originally from Stigler, Okla. She and her husband, Dana,
have a daughter, Rebecca Rose.
Wally Eldridge is president of Eldridge Fencing Inc. He serves as
president of the Great Bend Rotary Club and is a member of the Great
Bend Chamber of Commerce.
He and his wife, Deanna, have three children, Doug, Derik and Billy.
In his free time he enjoys hunting, fishing and watching his kids
play sports. |
