Barton Study of Roaring Twenties Focuses on Harlem Renaissance
Barton County Community College will offer a study of America in the Roaring Twenties, focusing on the Harlem Renaissance and including its art, music, literature and culture. Barton history instructor Linda McCaffery will lead the team-taught classes, introducing guest lecturers at various times throughout the course.
Classes will meet from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays, Sept. 27 through Oct. 30, in the college’s Fine Arts Building, F-111. Registration will be at 1 p.m. Sept. 27.
Pre-registration is required and participants are encouraged to call early since these classes fill up quickly. The fee for Silver Cougar Club members is $18. For all other participants, the fee is $67.
